Chinese Delegation led by Chairman of the Council of CCSA, Zhu Gaofeng attending the GSC 12th meeting

July 8, to July 13, 2007the 12th GSC meeting was held in Kobe, Japan. Chairman of the Council of CCSA, Zhu Gaofeng led the Chinese delegation attending the meeting, which was composed of 10 delegates from CCSA Secretariat, CATR of MII, Wuhan Research Institute of Posts and Telecommunications, Datang Mobile Communications Equipment Co., Ltd, Huawei Technologies, Alcatel Shanghai Bell, etc.

The meeting was jointly hosted by TTC and ARIB. Besides GSCs official partner, including ITU, ETSI, CCSA, TTA, TTC, ARIB, TIA, ATIS, ISACC and Communications Alliance (absence for some reason), there were ANSI, APT, BWCI, CIAJ, EPO, IEC Sector Board 4, IEEE-SA, ISO TC204, ITU Association of Japan, OMA, WIPO and IGO, who attended the meeting as observer. 122 delegates from these organizations took part in the meeting.

At the General Assembly opening ceremony, Mr. Zhu introduced CCSA about the organization development, standardization research progress, research fields of focus and cooperation & exchanges with foreign countries since the last meeting. Other partners also gave introductions about their activities since the last meeting. During the general assembly, delegates submitted 51 contributions on emergency communication, security and lawful interception, forum and union, RFID, open standards, IPTV and other hot topics.
