The 10th CJK Meeting held in Korea

The 10th CJK (China, Japan and Korea) ICT Standards Meeting was held in Gyeongju City, Korea from April 7th to 9th, 2010. At the same time, the 24th B3G Working Group Meeting, the 18th NGN Working Group Meeting and the 11th N-ID Working Group Meeting were held. The meeting was hosted by TTA and 88 delegates from China, Japan and Korea attended it.

Chairman of CCSA, Zhu Gaofeng led the CCSA delegation to attend the meeting, including Secretary-General Zhou Baoxin, Deputy Secretary-General LIU Duo and other 12 delegates from CATR, China Telecom, ZTE, Huawei and Datang Mobile.

During the meeting, CCSA, ARIB, TTA and TTC introduced the progress of their standardization activities since the last meeting, for example, standards development, organization structure, research focus, external relationship, and recent Ad Hoc activities. Delegates from NGN WG, B3G WG and N-ID WG introduced their groups’ activities since the last meeting separately. Mr. Yoshitomi Murai from TTC introduced TACT Working Group’s work.

In response to the needs of technology development and CJK’s cooperation, the meeting extended the study areas of NGN WG, B3G WG and N-ID WG and renamed their names as Ubiquitous Networking in support of Internet of Things Working Group (UNIOT WG), International Mobile Telecommunication Working Group (IMT WG) and Networked RFID/ ubiquitous sensor network Working Group (NID/USN) separately.

The meeting identified the next meeting will be held in Japan in 2011 and co-hosted by ARIB and TTC.
