CCSA held the 2nd Session of its Fourth Council in Beijing

The Fourth Council of China Communications Standards Associations (CCSA) held its 2nd Session in Beijing on February 27, 2017. 33 members and plenipotentiaries of the Council attended the meeting. At the invitation of the Council, members of the Strategic Guiding Committee attended the meeting as non-voting delegates. Mr. Yang Zemin, Vice Chairman of the council and Secretary-General, chaired the meeting. 

During the meeting, Ms. Dai Xiaohui was appointed as standing deputy secretary-general; Ms. Wu Bingmei and Ms. Pan Feng were appointed as deputy secretary-general.  “CCSA budget report for 2017” was discussed and adopted by the Council. The Council reached an agreement on following issues: the adjustment plan for several technical committees suggested by the Secretariat and to prepare for the establishment of 3 task groups (quantum communication, navigation and location, industrial Internet); the list of elected chairman for each technical committee during the 14th General Assembly and appointed Mr. Jiang Lintao and Mr. Mao Qian as expert advisor of CCSA; the suggestion to establish CCSA Supervisory Committee (the Council asked the Secretariat to prepare detailed preparatory work for further review). Besides, the Council discussed “Main points of CCSA in 2017” and asked the Secretariat to improve it with comments from the members of the Council and then published it to CCSA members and observers.    

The meeting listened to the report on CCSA strategic planning by Mr. Xi Guhua, Chairman of CCSA Strategic Guiding Committee, and a brief report of CCSA Secretariat on current situation by Ms. Dai Xiaohui, standing deputy secretary-general of CCSA. After a serious discussion, the meeting came to a conclusion that the strategic planning of CCSA is very necessary, important and urgent, and it will be arranged as a main task in 2017.
