Chinese Friends of 3GPP (CF3) successfully hosted 3GPP RAN1#92-bis meeting, RAN2#101-bis meeting, RAN3#99-bis meeting, and SA2#127 from April 16 to 20, 2018 at Sanya, Hainan. More than 1,200 delegates from more than 70 independent 3GPP members from around the world attended the meetings.
The discussions focused on the fifth-generation mobile communication technology (5G), narrow-band Internet of Things wireless communication technology (NB-IoT) and other issues, and made significant progress. According to the overall work plan of 3GPP, 3GPP will complete the first version of international 5G standards in June 2018.
CF3 will take this meeting as an opportunity to make greater contributions to the international ICT standardization.
